Use flower garlands everywhere; its New Year, you couldn’t possibly over decorate. The places to put those garlands best will be at the front door, railings, balconies and mantle.
For table centerpieces, fresh flower arrangements will compliment those garlands decorated all over the house. If you are attending a party at another place, this is the perfect gift for the host. So just wish that a guest will bring one for you.
Or better yet, be forward and ask a friend to bring one.
Choose a theme for the party and suit the menu and the decorations with it.
Some will go for costume party and that will be additional work. So better stay on the safe side and just go for a simple theme, but make up for the decorations.
Get the party grooving with the right music for your theme. Before starting the party, be sure that you have the right set of songs that you will need so you do not have to stop entertaining and arrange the music.

If you want to be really creative, you can make customized party hats to suit your party theme. Well this is a good idea if you are planning to have a party for your closest friends so you do not have to make a lot of hats.
